Home > Gustav Klimt: Painting, Design and Modern Life in Vienna 1900 at Tate Liverpool
“Bringing the Bling to Liverpool’s Big year” is the description some have already given to the first comprehensive exhibition of Gustav Klimt’s work ever staged in the UK. Whether it’s the idea of bling or Klimt’s extraordinary skill that attracts you, this is a chance to see work by one of the world’s most influential artists at the Tate Liverpool.
The exhibition explores Klimt’s role as the founder and leader of the Viennese Secession, a progressive group of artists. This is a “don’t miss” chance to see major paintings and drawings from all stages of Klimt’s career. Tate Liverpool is housed in a converted warehouse in the Albert Dock, one of the finest groups of nineteenth-century industrial buildings anywhere.
