At Your Service

Whether you're new to conference organising or experienced enough to know what a headache it can be, The Liverpool Convention Bureau can help. Our team of dedicated conference organisers have the contacts, the ideas and the know-how to make your conference a success. LCB's services extend to pre- and post-conference assistance, too. But most importantly, our services are free of charge.

Our pre-conference services are pretty much comprehensive, as this is when we make sure that once the wheels are in motion, you'll be happy with every decision. It includes:

- finding the perfect venue for your event
- provide online conference searches
- arranging transport and familiarisation visits
- managing accommodation bookings
- arranging study tours
- providing travel options
- assisting with bid preparation.

By the time the conference is under way, our planning will be bearing fruit and the delegates will be enjoying the seamless flow of proceedings. Of course, LCB is always on call, so if you have any problems or queries, or want to change your plans a little or introduce something new, we're ready to jump in.

After the last delegate and organiser have left, LCB will engage in a post-conference evaluation of the whole process, so that both parties can learn, build and start to plan ahead.

We also hope that you'll be interested in the Ambassadors' Programme, the Forum Legati. It is a network of academics and professionals whose collective aim is to promote Merseyside as a conference venue and support those hold their conferences here. At present there are over 175 ambassadors, but the Forum Legati is always open to new members. As well as working to bring more events to Liverpool, it is a priceless networking opportunity, as the cream of the region's decision makers are involved. Ambassadors are kept fully in touch with conferencing developments and regularly hold events themselves.

Not every conference has to be a facsimile of the previous one. We have found that such events are much more memorable and therefore have a longer impact when a theme is involved. And Liverpool has a wealth of unique themes to draw from. They can permeate the conference with venue and schedule choices or merely be augmented to the conference in the form of a tour or other diversion.
